Mijn sculpturale werk probeert vorm te geven aan het innerlijke en vaak onuitspreekbare van het menselijk bestaan. Figuren verschijnen in een staat van spanning of fragiliteit, alsof ze balanceren tussen beweging en stilstand.
Elk beeld draagt een universeel levensverhaal in zich, gevormd door intensiteit. Daarom zijn mijn werken niet bedoeld om te behagen; ze zijn veeleer getekend door een passionele levenswandel. Ze maken iets los bij de toeschouwer, ze confronteren, schuren, prikkelen of raken iets visceraals. Een beeld als dringende noodzaak – zowel voor de maker als voor de beschouwer. Kunst als iets intiems, essentieels en grensverleggend.
Mijn interesse gaat ook uit naar wat zich ontrekt aan het zichtbare. Het gaat niet louter om vorm, maar om essentie.

Niet om wat zichtbaar is, maar om wat ontbreekt.
In mijn oeuvre komen tegenstellingen samen:

kracht en kwetsbaarheid, schoonheid en vervorming, evenwicht en dreigende val,  immobiliteit en contortie, tederheid en spanning, liefde en conflict.
Die ambiguïteit is essentieel. De betekenis van een beeld ligt niet vast, maar ontstaat in de ontmoeting met de toeschouwer.
Ik beschouw sculptuur als een vorm van stille theatralisering van het mens-zijn: een ruimte waarin menselijke emoties, en existentiële vragen zichtbaar worden zonder woorden.
In die zin is mijn beeldende taal een voortzetting van mijn vroegere carrière.
Waar ooit mijn stem de expressie droeg, geeft sculptuur nu vorm
aan het onuitgesprokene. 
Innerlijke beelden worden aanwezigheid in de ruimte. 

My sculptural work seeks to give form to the inner and often unspoken dimensions of human existence. Figures emerge in states of tension or fragility, as if balancing between movement and stillness.

Each sculpture carries within it a universal life story shaped by intensity. My works are therefore not intended to please; rather, they bear the traces of a passionate life journey. They aim to provoke a response in the viewer — to confront, unsettle, stimulate, or touch something visceral. A sculpture as an urgent necessity, both for the maker and for the observer. Art as something intimate, essential and boundary-pushing.

My interest also lies in what escapes the visible. It is not merely about form, but about essence. Not about what is present, but about what is missing.

In my work, opposites converge: strength and vulnerability, beauty and distortion, balance and the threat of falling, immobility and contortion, tenderness and tension, love and conflict. This ambiguity is essential. The meaning of a sculpture is never fixed; it emerges in the encounter with the viewer.

I see sculpture as a form of silent theatricalization of the human condition — a space where human emotions and existential questions become visible without words.

In that sense, my visual language is a continuation of my former career on the stage.
Where my voice once carried expression, sculpture now gives form to the unspoken. Inner images become presence in space.
